On July 5, 2014 Sandra Loughry lost her life in a pedestrian hit and run accident on Shenandoah Avenue. Police believe she was struck by a 2002 dark green Chevy Cavalier. Police have recently sought a search warrant for a vehicle believed to be the car that hit Ms. Loughry and are also requesting DNA samples from the suspect driver in the case.
As of this posting, no charges have been filed.
