Also offered to Veterans: FREE LUNG CANCER SCREENINGS DURING THE WEEK OF NOV.10-14, 2014.
Sadly, many veterans are at increased risk for lung cancer because of exposures during their military service to known cancer-causing agents, such as Agent Orange, and battlefield combustibles.
During the week of Nov. 10-14, 2014, the hospitals listed below will offer lung cancer screenings free to all veterans. Veterans are screened using a low-dose CT scan.
While there is no cure for lung cancer or mesothelioma, early detection can greatly improve life expectancy and quality of life.
