Nissan announced today that is is recalling approximately 54,000 2012 Nissan Versas. The company discovered a problem with the vehicle’s airbags. Nissan reports that curtain and seat mounted airbags may deploy in these vehicles if the door is slammed shut.
Nissan blames the defect on the breakdown of side impact sensor pins within the vehicles interior. It has promised to replace these parts at no cost to the consumer.
