A Bedford County man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter. The charges stem from an accident last November in which 21 year old Durham Fasabella lost control of his Buick and hit a tree killing 21 year old passenger Evan Nichols.
Police believe Fasabella lost control of the vehicle when entering a curve too fast on Otter Hill Road in Bedford County. Falabella was injured in the accident and taken to Lynchburg General Hospital. Falabella was charged with DUI at the scene.
Sadly, one young man’s life was taken and another’s ruined by this horrible, preventable accident.
Driving Drunk kills innocent people. Enough said.
A jury trial has been set for Fasabella on August 12, 2014 in Bedford County Circuit Court. If convicted, 21 year old Fasabella faces one to ten years in prison.
